Flamengo crush Vélez Sarsfield's Copa Libertadores dreams

Flamengo defeated Vélez Sarsfield in a close win on Wednesday, 2x1, in a match relating to the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores. Rio de Janeiro (RJ)'s team beat Buenos Aires's team, 4x0, in the first leg of the tie.

The opening goal was scored by Lucas Pratto in the 21st minute. With this goal, Lucas Pratto reached the 5th goal of the season. After 42 minutes, Pedro fired home for Flamengo, assisted by Éverton Ribeiro.

In the 63rd minute, key moment of the game, when Marinho came on. Forward netted the last goal with 68 minutes on the clock.

Thanks to this result, Flamengo are through to the next round of the competition.
