Fenerbahçe overcome Maribor

Fenerbahçe edged out Maribor, 0x3, on Thursday, in a match relating of the Europa Conference League [Qualifiers]. Ismail Kartal's team beat Damir Krznar's team, 3x1, in the first leg of the tie.

The first goal was scored by Irfan Kahveci in the 17th minute. After 32 minutes, Arnel Jakupović had a golden opportunity on his feet to score but missed a penalty.

With 90 minutes already on the clock, Sebastian Szymanski doubled the lead for Fenerbahçe. Dusan Tadic netted the last goal in stoppage time.

Thanks to this result, Fenerbahçe are through to the next round of the competition. With regard to the next fixture, Ismail Kartal's team will host FC Twente.
