Pyunik beat Alashkert FC, 3x1, on Friday, on matchday 10. Coming into the contest, Eghishe Melikyan's team came from six wins, and Vahe Gevorgyan's team came from a defeat.
The opening goal was scored by Karen Nalbandyan with 12 minutes on the clock. After 39 minutes, Hovhannes Harutyunyan fired home for Pyunik, from the penalty spot. Shortly before the interval, Vagner Gonçalves scored the second goal for Eghishe Melikyan's team.
Artak Dashyan netted the last goal in the 67th minute.
After the result Pyunik are 1st in the table, with 26 points, while Alashkert FC sit 4th place, with 19 points. In the next fixture, Eghishe Melikyan's team visit Ararat Yerevan. Meanwhile, Vahe Gevorgyan's team will host West Armenia.
