Eintracht Frankfurt stumble to defeat against FC Augsburg

FC Augsburg beat Eintracht Frankfurt, 2x1, on Sunday, in a game related to matchweek 13 of 1. Bundesliga. To this matchweek, Jess Thorup's team came from three draws, and Dino Toppmöller's team came from a defeat.

The first goal of the game was scored by Fredrik Jensen, with a right-foot shot inside the penalty box, after 34 minutes.

In the 58th minute, Iago Borduchi fired home FC Augsburg second goal, with a right-foot strike. In the 76th minute, Ermedin Demirovic advanced to the penalty, but Kevin Trapp defended. In an unfortunate moment Finn Dahmen scored an own goal with 78 minutes on the clock.

After the result Eintracht Frankfurt are 7th in the table, with 18 points, while FC Augsburg sit 9th place, with 17 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Jess Thorup's team will play away against Werder Bremen, whilst Dino Toppmöller's team will host Bayern München.
