Independiente run out winners versus Argentinos Juniors

Independiente beat Argentinos Juniors in a close win on Saturday, 2x1, in a match relating to the Grp.A of the Copa da Liga Argentina.

After 29 minutes, Gastón Verón opened the scoring for Argentinos Juniors. In an unlucky moment Tobías Palacio scored an own goal in the 31st minute.

With 52 minutes on the clock, Gabriel Ávalos had a golden chance to score but missed the penalty. Ignacio Maestro Puch netted the last goal in the 59th minute. With 90 minutes already on the clock, Pablo Guede's team saw Francisco Álvarez get sent off due to accumulation of yellows.

In the next fixture, Independiente will play away against Barracas Central, whilst Argentinos Juniors will host Gimnasia.
