FC Ararat-Armenia get the better of Alashkert FC

FC Ararat-Armenia defeated Alashkert FC, 3x1, on Monday, relating to matchweek 9 of the Armenian League. To this matchweek, Vardan Minasyan's team came from two wins, and Vahe Gevorgyan's team came from five wins.

The first goal of the game was scored by Nikolai Kipiani, after 12 minutes. After 34 minutes, Mohamed Yattara struck the second goal for FC Ararat-Armenia. Mohamed Yattara now on a scoring streak of 4 consecutive games.

After the break, Alashkert FC saw Artak Yedigaryan get sent off due to accumulation of yellows. In stoppage time, Tenton Yenne doubled the lead for Vardan Minasyan's team, from the penalty spot. In the closing stages of the game, Karen Nalbandyan netted the final goal of the game.

After the result Alashkert FC are 2nd in the table, with 19 points, while FC Ararat-Armenia sit 3rd place, with 19 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Vardan Minasyan's team will host Ararat Yerevan, while Vahe Gevorgyan's team visit Pyunik.
