HNK Rijeka edged out NK Osijek in a win on Sunday, 3-0, on matchday 26. Coming into the contest, Željko Sopic's team came from a win, and Zoran Zekic's team came from two draws. Veldin Hodza made a tremendous game.
The first goal of the game was scored by Veldin Hodza, in the 21st minute. After 23 minutes, midfielder doubled the lead for HNK Rijeka.
Veldin Hodza completed the hat-trick, with 62 minutes on the clock.
After the result HNK Rijeka are 1st in the table, with 56 points, while NK Osijek sit 5th place, with 33 points. Next up, Željko Sopic's team will play away against Slaven, whilst Zoran Zekic's team will play at home against NK Varazdin.
