New Mexico United beat El Paso Locomotive in close encounter

New Mexico United edged out El Paso Locomotive, 3-2, on Saturday, in a match relating to the Grp.East of the USL Championship.

The opening goal was scored by Marco Micaletto in the 7th minute.

After 81 minutes, Joaquín Rivas struck for El Paso Locomotive. In the final minutes of the game, Amando Moreno fired home Brian Clarhaut's team second goal, from the penalty spot. In the closing stages of the game, Jacobo Reyes scored the second goal for New Mexico United. Nicky Hernandez scored the winning goal with 90 minutes on the clock.

In the next fixture, New Mexico United visit North Carolina FC, while El Paso Locomotive will host Oakland Roots SC.
