Valur defeated Fomget Gençlik in a close win on Wednesday, 2x1, in a match relating of the Women Champions League. Both Petur Petursson's team and Siyasat Asgarov 's team held their first game in the competition. In the starting XI there was Danielle Marcano. Christina Settles didn't leave the bench.
The first goal of the game was scored by Thórdís Ágústsdóttir, after 28 minutes. With 33 minutes on the clock, Ásdís Halldórsdóttir doubled the lead for Valur.
Birgul Sadikoglu netted the last goal after the break.
