Birkirkara edged out Balzan Youths in a win on Sunday, 0x3, on to matchday 6 of the Malta League. In this competition, Oliver Spiteri's team came from a win, and Giovanni Tedesco's team came from a defeat. Andrei Ciolacu made a tremendous game.
In the 16th minute, Yannick Yankam opened the scoring for Birkirkara. With 37 minutes on the clock, Andrei Ciolacu struck the second goal for Giovanni Tedesco's team, from the penalty spot.
Forward netted the last goal after the break.
After the result Birkirkara are 5th in the table, with 10 points, while Balzan Youths sit 7th place, with 9 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Giovanni Tedesco's team will host Marsaxlokk, whilst Oliver Spiteri's team will play at home against Naxxar Lions.
