Sochaux defeated Lorient in a close win on Saturday, 2x1, in a match relating of the French Cup. Both Oswald Tanchot's team and Régis Le Bris's team held their first game in the competition.
Aurélien Pelon opened the score in the 34th minute.
After 69 minutes, Alex Daho fired home for Sochaux, with a right-foot shot. Issouf Macalou scored the winner deep into added time from the penalty spot.
With this result, Sochaux are into the next round of the competition. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Oswald Tanchot's team will host Stade de Reims.
