Hibernian triumphed over St. Johnstone in a win on Saturday, 1-3, on to matchday 1 of the Scottish Premiership. Coming into the contest, Craig Levein's team came from a defeat, and Nick Montgomery's team came from a draw.
The first goal was scored by Emiliano Marcondes in the 6th minute. Shortly before the interval, Paul Hanlon struck the second goal for Hibernian.
In the 76th minute, Nick Montgomery's team increased their lead with a goal from Dylan Vente. In the closing stages of the game, Benjamin Kimpioka wrapped things up.
. In the next fixture, Hibernian visit Ross County, whilst St. Johnstone will play away against Aberdeen.
