Benfica and Sporting drew 2-2 in a match on Tuesday, in a match relating to the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup. The leões beat the encarnados, 2-1, in the first leg of the tie.
The first-half ended with a goalless draw.
The first goal of the game was scored by Morten Hjulmand, with a right-foot shot from outside the box, after the break. After 52 minutes, Nicolás Otamendi struck for Benfica, through a header. In the 55th minute, Paulinho fired home Sporting second goal, with a left-foot strike inside the box. With 64 minutes on the clock, Rafa Silva scored the last goal of the match, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty area.
With this result, Sporting are through to the next round of the competition.
