Auxerre defeated GFC Ajaccio, 3x1, on Tuesday, in a match relating of the Coupe de la Ligue. Both Pablo Correa's team and Albert Cartier's team held their first game in the competition. Daniel Mancini was the man of the match. Quentin Westberg didn't leave the bench.
Daniel Mancini opened the score after 40 minutes. Shortly before the interval, David Gomis fired home for GFC Ajaccio, from the penalty spot.
After the break, Daniel Mancini scored the second goal for Auxerre. Nathan Bizet netted the last goal in the final minutes of the game.
With this result, Auxerre are through to the next round of the competition. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Pablo Correa's team will host Châteauroux.
